I was deeply moved when I visited the local workshop in Fukui Prefecture, where skilled artisans carefully apply layer after layer of lacquer—letting each one dry—before hand-painting the final design.
It takes many hands and a great deal of care to create just one of these lacquerware pieces.

Very beautiful

I bought these two bowls and they are very beautiful. Very sturdy, high quality. Beautiful works of art. I'm using them for trinket dishes, and I love looking at them everyday. They are technically for food, but this is how I love using them. I highly recommend.
